Welcome to BreadmakerReviews.co.uk – the UK’s leading site dedicated to all things breadmakers

It may seem like a rather niche thing to be dedicated to, but hear us out.

You can find out more about our bread-filled back-story over on our about page, but to cut a long story short; we’re obsessed with breadmakers.

Each member of our team owns a different breadmaker, and has been using it for just over a year now. During that time, we’ve all quickly grown into the seasoned bread maker experts we are today.

We know everything from tried and tested recipes, to the best value bread maker you can get for your money, to a whole host of bread maker maintenance tips.

But why are we so obsessed, you ask?

For several reasons, actually! We’ll probably do a detailed blog post about it at some point in the future, but we’ll give you the low-down for now.

  • We believe everyone should feel the health benefits. Did you know that an average of 99 bread products are purchased per household per year? That equates to approximately one product every 3.5 days, or 2 every week! That’s a lot of bread, then. We believe that if everyone is eating as much bread as these stats say they are, it’s probably best to make it as healthy as possible.A lot of store-bought bread comes with hidden nastiness, including excess sodium, preservatives, and even bleached flour (yes, that kind of bleach)! Using a bread making machine to make your own loaves and dough eliminates all of the above, and leaves you with healthier, proper bread that still tastes good.
  • The amount of money you save is staggering. Keeping the aforementioned statistic in mind, the amount we spend on bread products can soon add up. Your average loaf of bread will set you back £1, which adds up to £2 a week, which then adds up to £104 a year. It may not seem like a lot, but think of what else you could spend that money on! It depends on what kind of bread you’re making, what recipe you’re following, or what size of loaf you’re making – amongst other factors- but the cost of your average loaf will cost about 50p.

They’re a joy to use. No joke. There’s something quite charming about buying all of the ingredients, mixing the dough, and waiting for your bread to bake – especially when you know you can customise it to exactly how you want it. Some makers can make marble bread, some come with dispensers that can add extras such as fruit and nuts to your bread, and some makers can even make pizza dough and scones.

Whatever it is about breadmakers that’s drawing you in, we’re here to help you find the perfect one- our buyer’s guides and reviews will help you to do just that.

You can also count on us to divulge our tips and tricks on using these machines in our blog.

Happy Bread making!

It could be that you’re searching for the best value breadmaker, or that you’re searching for one with a delay timer – either way, we have you covered.

Visit our About page to find out more about why we built this site, a little bit of breadmaker history, and what sent us barmy about breadmakers in the first place.

This is where we really get down to the nitty-gritty. Our reviews look at each of the top 10 bread making machines in the YK, discussing everything from how well they perform as a whole, to the end result, to how many settings they offer. Really want to know how well that break maker you have your eyes on performs? Find out here.
